Egg Roll in a Bowl – 2
Ingredients
The Egg Roll:
- 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. minced fresh ginger
- 1 lb. ground pork or ground beef or a combination
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 to 2 c. shredded carrot
- 1/4 to 1/2 green cabbage, thinly sliced (or use coleslaw cabbage mix to save time)
- 1/4 c. soy sauce or to make it gluten free use coconut aminos, liquid aminos or Tamari
- 1 tbsp. Sriracha
- 1 to 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 25 Minutes
Total Time: 35 Minutes
Yields: 4 Servings

I like to add more vegetables to the original recipe and tend to go on the higher end noted
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Add pork and cook until no pink remains.
- Push pork to the side and add sesame oil. Add onion, carrot, and cabbage. Stir to combine with meat and add soy sauce and Sriracha. Cook until cabbage is tender, 5 to 8 minutes.
- Transfer mixture to a serving dish and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve.
Notes
Can add any or all of the following – fish sauce, rice vinegar, red bell pepper, and bean sprouts, so experiment with what you like to add
